Should I get an Epiphone Les Paul or a Schecter Hellraiser guitar?

I play mostly alternative rock like Seether, Three Days Grace, Nirvana. But also rock like Iron Man, Paranoid, and Led Zepplin songs, I have an American Fender now but want something with heavier tone.
