You could just try a few drops of bleach in a sink of water and then leave your bandanna in the sink & keep checking on it every once in a while. my kitty Nala (8 months) is usually really friendly with people she follows them around she loves her food goes crazy whenever she knows shes getting fed and is usually very happy. Although the last 3 days (this being day 3) she has gone weird. She has her own room the laundry and there's a little outdoor bit where she can go outside and other cats wont bother her but she usually hangs out in the house with us. Anyway the last 3 days she has hid in a corner outside in a little ball hasnt eaten (which is really weird) and i dont think she has even moved to drink. And whenever i pick her up she gets really scared she lowers her head and goes really still and her claws are out. I had tried many times to sit her infront of her food but she keeps running back to her corner outside. I try and bring her into different rooms with me and just leave her usually shes running around wanting to get pats and exploring but now she huddles in a little ball and as soon as im not looking she runs back outside. Also sometimes when i pick her up she growls and sort of plays dead. Its so weird she just sits there like somthing has scared her stiff. I have come to the conclusion that my housemate and beaten her. I have seen him hit her a couple of times and asked him not to punish her like that but im thinking he didnt listen and im thinking this time he took it too far. This is the only thing i can think of why she being like this but shes even so scared of me HELP what can i do i feel terrible for her i cant take her to the vet im flat broke right now so that is out of the question im just worried about her not eating and if she will snap out of this will she ever be the same again? what can i do?

On April 23rd I had my second child (a boy). The funniest thing is that he has slept through the night since we were discharged from the hospital. Nervous/Concerns about Winter Camp?

So I'm a sopre in high school and a friend of mine (who goes to summer camp every summer) has invited me to go with her to her camp for what they call "winter" camp. Its 10 days, starts the day after christmas, and its basically summer camp in winter. You get to ski, do all kinds of fun winter stuff, and its like a shorter, cheaper, but fun version of summer camp. I REALLY want to do it. It sounds like a lot of fun, I'd get a lot of cool experiences, and I really think it would be good for confidence/character building. And my mom is totally on board (and willing to pay for it). But today while talking to my friend about how rustic the camp is (which is mostly a good thing) I found out that the shower rooms are like wide open with no privacy (like at school, but we never actually have to shower there). I know it probably sounds really immature, but this is scaring the crud out of me, and making me considering not going. I know it "shouldn't" be a big deal, and it used to be everyone had to do that kind of thing, but I'm just really, really scared about it, and not sure I could do it. Chevy 350 Backfiring Through Carb?

1996 Mercruiser Magnum 350 with the original Carter carb professionally rebuilt. Ran like a champ at 3200 rpm for the first 30 minutes, then started backfiring through the carb every 10-15 seconds. I suspected too high a float level, pulled the sparkplugs which look mostly like "carbon deposits" in the Haynes chart. When I did a compression test, I got between 142 and 160 lbs, except no 7, which doesn't even move the needle. I cant even get a whoosh from the open sparkplug hole. It still runs like a champ, even idles pretty good. Could the no 7 problem be independent from the backfire? How can I determine a lifter problem from a valve problem? What kind of tricks are there before the head comes off?

Well in 2007 i went to the doctor with problems of a nasty sour taste in the back of my throat and constant nausea. For the past year I've basically lived in the doctors trying to find something to help with my nausea. I've also had pain in my upper chest but mostly the feeling of a lump in my throat. About 4 months ago, my doctor put me on the generic of Prilosec. Well it helped my stomach with the nausea but seemed to make the lump feeling worse. For the past week, I quit taking an acid reducers (other than tums) and I've noticed that I feel better now than when i was taking the medicine. Could it be that stress is my cause? I dont wear tight clothes, or lay down after I eat. But my husband however is deployed and I'm very stressed with being at home still with my parents. But I take a zantac whenever I eat something that I know is going to hurt me (chocolate, spicy, citrus). Is there a way that I can ease the lumpy feeling without the doctor, cause they dont seem to be helping me.

Candida Albicans Allergy & l Yeast Infections?

I recently had a skin allergy test done, and it showed I was severely allergic to Candida Albicans. (For those of you who know a little about this test, the "welt" that formed was 19mm). I don't really know much about this allergy. I suffer from eczema & I also get reoccurring yeast infections and wonder if this is all in relation of each other. I've read that taking caprylic acid helps with Candida Albicans control. I've just started a regimen of probiotics in the AM, and caprylic acid with dinner. I am wondering if any one knows about the Queensland Mental Health Tribunal & Mental Health Dr's Not seeing a person for 6 months laws? I am on an Involuntary Treatment Order and believe that seeing i have not seen my dr' for 6 months I am off the involuntary Treatment Order now. Can you also tell me about if i see a private mental health dr do i come off the ITO with out having to go to there tribunal meeting? Do i have to tell my Current Mental Health Dr that has me on the ito about seeing a private mental health dr or is this private matter between the new dr and myself. The sooner i have nothing more to do with Queensland health the better. I am also wanting to know how can Queensland Mental Health hold you in a secure unit when hospital like the Townsville Mater Hospital don't have bars? How come Mental Health Dr's have the right to ask personal questions if you don't want to answer them? Can the police enter private property if they have a letter from Mental Health no judge?

What is wrong with me?

I have a fear of the number 11. Every time I see it on the clock, I "know" something bad is going to happen to me. When I hear a cashier tell me my total and it has the number 11, i think about adding something else to my cart to make the number change, but then i cant bc its already too late bc i heard her say it. Its not always me though, for example, if someone tells me they have an appt on the 11th i think to myself that something bad is going to happen to them. If i look at the clock and its 10:11 and my husband is at work, i have to pray and pray for nothing to happen to him. The earliest I can remember worry about it was 9 years ago, and after 9/11 happened, it just added to it. Is it possible that this is ocd even though i dont do any wierd rituals to "make it better"? Also, I have gone to church my entire life and lately when people ask me to pray about their new job, or pray for their sick mother, i dont pray bc im afraid if i "waste" the prayer on them, God wont answer a serious prayer that i may need later. What could I do about my toddlers gun obsession?

My almost three year old boy went to a Christmas party with us at some friends house, and they had toy guns. Well immediately my son knew somehow how to use one, even though we have no toy guns in the house. I'm currently in a on/off relationship with someone and when we are 'on' I wish I was single and free sometimes, and not in the pressure of a relationship, but when i'm away from her I miss her so much. We talk and text ALL day, and I know she misses me just as much, we are like best friends and are so used to telling each other everything, that we just cant seem to go our separate ways completely, for good. But I couldn't bare to see her with anyone else, it would break my heart, but other times Im just not sure if we are right for each other...and she also feels the same. Yet when we are 'off' we miss each other so much and end up back together getting on better than ever.. I don't know if its the commitment we are scared of, or if we are just both too insecure to be alone, or wether we just both want to have our cake and eat it!...We are both giving each other so many mixed signals, yet even when we say lets just get on with our lives separately, we somehow cant leave each other alone! We've both had turbulent upbringings and have issues because of this I suppose, but I cant work out if that is what draws us together....or causes the insecurities that cause the arguments, that eventually pushes us away! When we get on we are like twins, but when we don't, its war...! This is untrue. Houses heat up in the winter and sometimes you need to run the cooling mode. If they needed to get the AC to turn on to check it, they could simply lower the thermostat so that it is not satisfied by the indoor temp. Outside temperature has zero impact on the ability to diagnose a potential problem nor does it affect the systems performance in either heating or cooling modes. Odds are they do not have a maintenance guy qualified to look into the problem(as in the case with many apartment complexes) and they don't want to hire outside help. The service call alone should run them at least $100 and a repair or replacement will cost several hundred to a couple thousand dollars. I would keep pushing the issue with them.

What can I do in my situation (ual abuse, catch 22s)?

I'm a childhood survior of three separate instances of ual abuse. As an adult now I've seen how radically these situations affect how I interact with people and I think it is also the reason I've had almost thirty jobs (I'm only 23). I keep trying to get to therapy but I can't seem to hold a job long enough before I get fired, ususally due to some behavioral issue or I'll feel so drained that I can't perform my job as expected. I'm starting a buisness right now that I know A LOT about (record label) but the artist I'm working with (and it seems like all of my friends) are telling me disguisting things that I don't want to hear and remind me of my ual abuse. Sure, I talk to them and tell them not to talk about these things because they make me feel uncomfortable and remind me of the past but they repeat their actions eventually anyway. I don't want to keep being forgiving because I don't want to accept being a victim at the same time I have a minor attatchment to the fact that I've kept these friends since Jr. High and I've had to move around a lot (around 30 x as well) in my life. So I've always wanted that sense of security (thats co-dependant though huh?). I figure I'll be sucessful enough in the label the with the first release I'll be able to just get a place and pay for 2.5 years of therapy without having to let myself down by working again. In the meantime it seems like I'm taking s*** from my friends and the artist I'm developing for this label. I'd love to do a project myself and release it and be able to be independant of my friends but I've already meditated the cirstances and because I'll have such an influence on people I'll need to be able to meet the spiritual responsibilities of being a sucess without falling to the trappings like drugs and women, which currently are a problem. I don't have money to go to therapy or rehab and I can't get government help because it will comprimise my attempt at citizenship. I'm definately in quite a dilemma, it makes me a little dissapointed in God because I'm here paired with the understanding that this suffering will lead to a balance on the other end in perfection. But with all the stress I'm going through, losing my hair because I'm sinning when all I want to do is serve the Lord you'd think he'd open some type of window up. Anyway, thanks for your advice. A local store uses cinder blocks stacked two or three high, then a big piece of plywood, more cinder blocks, plywood, etc. as display shelves. American student wanting to go to University of British Columbia or University of Toronto? Requirements?

I have a friend that goes to UBC and I've heard great things about the school and Vancouver, but I'm also interested in University of Toronto. I have a good understanding of what it takes to get into UBC, but not a clue at all what the requirements would be for U of T.. Help? Is it very challenging to get into? I've got a lot of extracurriculars, mostly volunteer and community work, and my GPA is 3.4 on a 4.0 scale. My SAT was 1680, but that was the first time I've ever taken it and definitely plan to retake it, and I've only taken one AP cl, European History, but I finaled it with a 90, ping the exam with a 3. Is this good enough or not even close? Are there any other Canadian schools that I should be checking out, as well? I have no idea what program or major I'd go with yet.

Chihuahua - Harness or Collar?

I have a 5 lb. Chihuahua who I have used a harness for for probably the last year or so. I left the harness on at all times because he made it so hard to get on him, that he would sometimes not make it outside to go potty and instead go on me while I was putting on the harness. I started noticing that his fur beneath the harness was damaged so I went back to using a collar... but the collar only chokes him. It seems neither method works well for me. I know his trachea is very delicate and I don't want to injure him by using a collar. But I also don't want him to be uncomfortable in his harness. What should I do? Can you buy softer harnesses that don't damage the fur and are more comfortable? If so, where?
